MAPHOUSE is a modular prefabricated wood housing system of 100sqm.
The design of a telescopic shape is divided in three parts and allowed to get through the modules a development from both sides, transversely and longitudinally.

This division permitted us to design an infi- nite range of possibilities, also the different heights of the modules create a dynamic and moldable skyline.

The trapezoidal shape of the plan allowed us to connect them in different situations, such as the terraced type linking one next to the other, or an curve-court shape where the modules are placed side by side to create micro courtyards.

The modular system of the project is made of structural plywood panel with dimensions 150L 300H 12D.
Regarding to this technique, the external skin could be customized by the client with several material like wood, plaster, metal sheet etc.

Sustainability is guaranteed by a solar photo- voltaic roof; wall and roof are equipped with natural air ventilation system and the house is equipped with rainwater collector systems that collects, purify and bring back the water rain to the unit.
