MLG_ROCK 'N ROLLE
The aim of the project is enter in the required program through new spatial elements, completely demolishing the existing structure of the refuge, into desuetude and little historical interest, formulating a new idea with contemporary effect. We moved away from the alpine hut iconography, reinterpreting the concept and the functional purpose. It still maintains a direct line to the old building, using the same soil and orientation. Malga Fosse today needs a project able to communicate a contemporary character and identity.
The project presented here is consistent with these principles, is based on the identification of precise morphological elements, designed with new technology, energy-saving, resources and skills, and able to communicate well with tradition through the use of materials, not relying on mere aesthetic criteria, but on security, energy and water supply, waste disposal and wastewater, housing quality, allocation of space, capacity and comfort of rooms.
