FROM THE SERIES PRODUCTION MODULE TO A TAILOR MADE PAVILION

The starting point for the pavilion design are to combine modules that are simple in form, technique and manageability. Proposal wedge module provides different opportunities in the design process. When several modules are combined with each result may generate various shapes: a circle, a square or a more articulated form. Different configurations provide specific solutions for each context, unique conditions and helps to create new urban spaces. Furthermore, it makes strong wedge shape of the pavilion is recognizable in all its different combinations.

 

CONSTRUCTION - FROM TRADITIONS TO CONTEMPORARY

The pavilions are connecting to traditional Swedish architecture through referencing the pitched roof and classical wooden architecture, while that idiom places them in a contemporary context.

Pavilions consisting of a solid wood. On the outside, the clad with untreated larch paneling on the inside, they dressed with plywood. The modules are CNC manufactured in series and supplied finished and assembled together by steel profiles providing opportunities to assemble / disassemble and move

modules if necessary.

The pavilions integrated with photovoltaic panels on the roof and the facade which cooperates with a cooling heat pump to ensure indoor comfort throughout the year. The floor fitted with electric underfloor heating.

Parts of the window sections can be opened to ensure natural lighting and direct access in the summer.
